Def Leppard brings decades of arena-ready hard rock to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on May 1, 2027, joined by Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts. This Concerts event in the Pop / rock category pairs three established acts for an outdoor live-music night in one of Los Angeles's best-known performance settings. Prices currently start around $120 for this major concert, with final costs varying by seat location and availability.
Formed in Sheffield, England, in 1977, Def Leppard became one of the world's most successful rock bands, selling more than 100 million records. The group's classic lineup features vocalist Joe Elliott, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, bassist Rick “Sav” Savage, and drummer Rick Allen. Their breakthrough albums Pyromania and Hysteria helped define a polished, anthemic sound built for huge singalongs; the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
Fans can expect a catalog rich with enduring favorites such as “Rock of Ages,” “Photograph,” “Hysteria,” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.” Def Leppard's story also includes remarkable resilience: after losing an arm in a 1984 car accident, drummer Rick Allen returned to performing with the band. The May 1 bill includes Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts; specific set times and the running order have not been provided.
The Hollywood Bowl's outdoor hillside setting gives this Los Angeles date a distinctive backdrop for a night of classic rock. Its large-scale stage and open-air atmosphere suit Def Leppard's expansive sound, while the three-act lineup offers a full evening of live music.
The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater with a curved seating bowl, hillside setting, and iconic band shell. With approximately 17,500 seats, it is designed for live performance rather than sports, so consider sightlines, sound, and distance from the stage when choosing tickets. The venue's promenades and hillside routes can involve substantial walking; allow time to reach your seats.
For a premium experience, look for centrally located Garden Boxes or Terrace Boxes, which combine strong stage views with a more spacious setting. Center Super Seats are a solid middle-ground option for a balanced view. Upper Promenade and bench sections offer the classic Bowl atmosphere at a greater distance; far-rear benches may be less suitable if close-up stage detail is important.
On-site parking is limited and may be stacked, which can prevent an early exit. Park & Ride, Bowl Shuttle, Metro, or rideshare can help avoid driving congestion around the venue. On-site prices listed in the provided venue information include $55 for Lot A stacked parking and $45 for Lot D at LA Phil-presented events or $55 for lease events; availability and event-specific pricing should be checked before travel.
Arriving well before showtime is advisable, particularly if driving. Avoid relying on residential street parking, which may result in tickets, and be aware that stacked parking is a poor fit for guests who need to leave before the event ends.
